K.C.’s sister, Marni, turned 50 this weekend.  We had a family picnic at Howard Amon Park in Richland, Washington.  That is a beautiful 45-acre park on the banks of the Columbia River.  As it turned out, they were having hydroplane boat races on the Columbia so not only did we have a fun family picnic, but also we watched the boat races!

One of our favorite weekends in the spring is the opening weekend at the Yakima Speedway.  Apple Cup is a fun-filled weekend of racing including street stocks, sport stocks, modifieds and late models.

At Yakima Speedway, they allowed us to park the motorhome near the entrance gate – and we even had power hookup!  Pretty nice.

The flowers are blooming at home in Lyle.

 On Mothers Day 2008, Andy and Kristin took us out to breakfast.

 After Mothers Day breakfast, Bob and K.C. took a road trip to the Bonneville Dam.  We stopped at the visitor center and watched through the viewing windows as the fish climbed the fish ladder.  There are a lot of Chinook Salmon heading upstream this time of year.
